Make new friends, but keep the old.

It’s easy to fall into old habits; in life, in relationships, and in design. For many of us, it can be hard to branch out and be daring, especially when you know safe all too well. Gold and brass finishes have become very prevalent in the fashion and design world over the past few years. Because of this, some people find themselves at a crossroad. One side leading to unchartered territory and the other side leading to your comfort zone. Well, we are here to tell you how wonderful and exciting it can be when these paths cross! Adding in new layers and tones give your home more depth and helps to create a story. Mixing metals is not something you should be afraid of or shy away from. It can be very subtle, or make a wonderful statement. It’s never too late to incorporate these new metals into your home

 

Designer Tips:

Slowly start your transition with accessories. Maybe some gold or silver pictures frames or a tray for your cocktail table, or a little cigar table to rest your drink on.

Ready to jump in? Start with a new light fixture or mirror. These pieces are very helpful in transitioning a space, as they tend to be your focal points in a space.
